EXODUS 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
I CORINTHIANS 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
JOHN 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. JOHN 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. JOHN 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
“And when the Rock that was smitten by the promised Word of God, had commanded, It was giving forth gushers of pure clean water; not--not stagnated, not contaminated, but God's Own Presence. Pure water, and it saved all that drank. Now we know that that's true, because we read it in the Old Testament, as a type. Now, you did not have to pull it, pump it, join it, go into the seminary to learn how to use it. They'll tell you how to use it there, see, "Oh, well, you, if you have received the Holy Spirit, we believe that, but so you--you do it this way." But, you see, there is no control of it. You don't use the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit uses you, see. See, you're not, you're not to use the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit got you. A gift is not something you take, like a knife, and sharpen a pencil with it. It's yielding yourself to God, and getting yourself out of the way so the Holy Spirit can use you.” [65-0123 Broken Cisterns, Phoenix AZ]
“Now, you say, "Then, Brother Branham, why is it that we do not do the things then that we should do? How is it our gifts and things in the church does not come to its color, to where it should be? How is it our church does not lift up into the spot where it should be?"
The people in the testing time drops away like Israel did. They think that God has left them. But remember,
the Rock never left Israel. Israel left the Rock; it forgot about the Rock being with them all the time. It was right there, went right with them to the end of the road. "It followed them." It wasn't out of speaking distance. It wasn't out of hearing distance. Or it wasn't out of seeing distance.
And neither is Christ with the Church today; He's not out of speaking distance. Some of you have backslid, and done that which is wrong, and you've lost that joy,
and your Water is dried up. He's still in speaking distance of you. He follows you. He knows every move you make and everything you do. He's longing to hear you call Him on the scene.”
[61-0723M The Ever Present Water From The Rock, Jeffersonville IN], [Numbers 20:7-12], [I Corinthians 10:4], [Isaiah 53:5]“What a beautiful type, and a--a beautiful hold and an anchor for the believer today, that knows that that Rock that was once smitten, that Water that once poured forth from Calvary, goes with us wherever we are. Oh, my. It's not go back to a certain place and say, "Well, we did have Water day before yesterday, over there."
We got Water today right here, because that Rock was Christ. And Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. See? That Rock followed Israel. They never followed the Rock, but the Rock followed them. Amen. Israel went on their journey. They had but one thing to do, that's keep the straight course, right straight on into the promised land. And the Rock and the water
followed them... the Rock following them... I Corinthians tells you so, the 10th chapter. All right. That Rock was
Christ.”[61-0723M The.Ever Present Water From The Rock, Jeffersonville IN],
[I Corinthians 10:4],
[Numbers 20:7-12],
[Isaiah 53:5]
“Then what kind of people ought we to be, having faith in this great redeeming Christ that lives in us, this smitten Rock that never leaves the church? "I am with you always, even to the end of the world," the ever-Presence of the great gusher of salvation and power that poured forth from Calvary into the church,
the ever-Presence of the living God, great flowing, smitten Rock that goes with us in our journey.” [61-0723M The.Ever Present Water From The Rock, Jeffersonville IN], [I Corinthians 10:4], [Matthew 28:20]
	   “And watch. God trusted
Moses, found favor with him, and made him a great prophet, and give him great powers. And
Moses... God told
Moses, after the Rock had been
smitten once, He said, "Go out and speak to the Rock." But
Moses was angry. And he went out and said, "You rebels," to the children of God. "You rebels. Must we fetch you water out of this Rock?" And he smote the Rock...?... and he smote It again. And It brought Its waters. But that broke the whole program of God, right there. Any Bible reader knows that. That that's the one place in the Bible where God's entire program was broken. For the Rock was
Christ. Is that right?
And the judgments of God only smote Christ one time. He was only smitten once. And from this on, you just speak to the Rock, and It brings Its Waters. You don't smite It. He don't have to die to save you.
He don't have to die to heal you, or heal you. He's already died once to heal every one of you. And you just speak to the Rock, and It brings forth Its water. Amen.
There you  are. Speak to the Rock and It will bring forth Its Water. Are you on  speaking terms with Him tonight? Speak to Him;
He will bring forth the Waters; the Waters of Life, Waters of healing. "Where The Healing Water Flow," you've heard it sung a many times. That's right. Just speak to Him and see if it isn't right.”
[51-0413 The Works That I Do Bear Witness Of Me, Phoenix AZ], [Numbers 20:7-12], [I Corinthians 10:4], [Isaiah 53:5]“"He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we were healed."
After He--that rock was once smitten, God told Moses, said, "Go on, Moses. The only thing you have to do now is go speak to that rock. From this on, every time you need water, speak to it.
You don't have to smite it any more. You don't have to pound all night long. You don't have to worry, and beg, and pray, and fast, and go on. Just speak to the rock (Hallelujah.), and it will bring forth His waters." Amen. "Speak to the
rock, and it'll bring forth its waters." I tell you; one time there was a woman with a blood issue, and all that she had was lost. She could not be healed by any doctor.
And she come down along the bank one day, and she seen that spiritual rock rolling by, and she spake to the Rock. Just as this woman did here, just a few minutes ago, spoke to the Rock and out of the Rock came healing waters. Hallelujah.:
[55-0122 This Great Servant Moses, Chicago IL], [Numbers 20:7-12], [I Corinthians 10:4], [Isaiah 53:5]“Moses went out there and spoke to the Rock. And when he spoke to the Rock, the waters begin to flow and the people begin to drink. Now,
are you on speaking terms of the Rock today? Listen, brother,
I believe it's time that we spoke to the Rock. Don't you believe so? I seen a woman, one time in the Bible had a blood issue. The doctors had done everything. She'd mortgaged her home, sold everything she had. And none of the doctors could do her any good. And she spoke to the Rock. And the Rock brought forth water (Is that right?), healing waters.”
