November 2010 Newsletter - Subject of the Month
“And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” [Matthew 25:30]
“They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” [Romans 3:12]
“So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do” [Luke 17:10]
“Now, because, we have a responsibility that we've got to answer to God someday for. Every man that come on the face of the earth has to answer to God for a responsibility. And, to many of us, a stewardship, we have to answer for. This responsibility is a stewardship that's been committed to us by God, I don't care what it is. As I said a few moments ago, "a housewife," then be a genuine housewife. That's right. If it's to be a farmer, be a genuine farmer. Whatever it is that God has put you to do, you got a stewardship to that, you've got to answer to God for, because it takes all these things to do it.” [God Doesn't Call Man To Judgment Without First Warning Him, Jeffersonville IN, 63-0724]
“We have a lovely picture of this at the Laodicea age in Revelation 3, "Because you say you're rich and have need of nothing; and yet knowest thou not that thou art wretched, poor, blind, miserable, naked, and don't know it?" What a horrible thought that is, to think that a person could be blind, or would be on the street naked, that's a horrible thing. But the worst part of it is, is the man in that condition, and yet doesn't know it. If that person knew that he was in that condition, he would try to help himself. But being in that condition and doesn't know he's in that condition... And you can't tell him any different. That's the picture that we see today, that... Many of us people see God moving in this last day. We see the Holy Spirit come among us and vindicating the very promises of the Bible that Christ said would take place; and yet, with our denominational differences, and our creed, and our social standing as that young man had, turn down the opportunity like he does, or like he did. They were afraid to make the investment. He would rather hold on to the things that he had: popularity, money, covetousness, instead of putting his investment, when he--the opportunity knocked at his door to the Kingdom of God.” [Investments, Shreveport LA, 62-1124B]
“Down the street she goes, and she drops into the perfume shop, and here comes this one out that... He wouldn't leave for the feast, of course, because he thought he'd miss a sale somewhere. You know, the one that said, "What profit it is, if we leave Joseph in there--in the hole here? Let's sell him, and get some money out of it."  Come out; she knocked at the counter, and he come out and seen what it was. He started to turn back, but she poured out this Roman denarii on the... Oh, sure money. Anybody can come in now. He didn't want her in his place of business, till he found out she had some money. Then when she had money, oh, well, that's different. You see? "What do you want?"  I want the best that you've got. I want, not just an ordinary alabaster box of this anointment; I want the best you got on the counter. It's for a special occasion." That's what you got to give to Jesus. Take your first opportunity to get to Him, and give Him your best. Give Him your heart. Give Him all that you got, for He might not pass this way again. Let's do all we can for Him while we can.” [One Of The Meanest Men In Town, Chicago IL, 61-0429B]
“But that little queen wanted it. But the first thing she wanted to know, "Was it Scriptural or not?" She studied all the Scriptures. Then she said, "I'm going to do another thing. I'm a queen; and if that message is right, I'm going to support it." And she ladened camels with gold, and myrrh, and frankincense, and all kind of costly apparel, and such. She said, "If it's right, if that God is real God, then I'm through with this thing I have been serving, and I'm going to support it with everything I got." That's the attitude. Listen. God's not concerned so much about your money, but He wants you to support Him with all you are. He don't want ten percent of your money, so much as He wants your time, your talent, your testimony, and all that you are to be given into His hands, so He can control you. He wants to be your Lord; not only your Saviour, but your Lord--lordship, to govern you.” [Queen Of Sheba, Klamath Falls OR, 60-0710]
“Didn't the Bible say, "Thou art rich and increased in goods (to this age), but don't know that you're naked, miserable, poor, wretched, blind, and don't even know it." What a miserable condition. Men and brethren, don't make an investment in something like that. It's bound to perish. Why not make an investment in something that's proved down through the Bible? I am showing you a real investment to make. Put your life, your time, your money, your talent, put everything you've got in Christ. God guaranteed it to us by raising Him up again. We'll rise in the last days. He promised it. What more could you look forward to? Tell me any investment you could make would pay off like that. Tell me what you could invest in this morning and make ten million dollars, and tomorrow be a corpse? What good would it do you? What profit a man if he gained the whole world and lose his soul? What if you're popular, and called So-and-so, and Deacon, Presbyter Dr., Bishop, Elder, Pope, or whatever you might be called? That's praises of men. I'd rather be called a holy-roller by the people, and had be a son of God in my heart, with the new birth and the Spirit of Christ dwelling in me, and Him proving it by the vindication of His Word and making me live. "The life that I once lived I don't live no more," Paul said. And yet he was a teacher and a scholar. But he changed his life, when he met Christ, and made his investment in Christ. He was a different man from then on.” [Investments, Shreveport LA, 62-1124B]
“And it's got to be. The living know they have to die. And as men and women, boys and girls, this morning, Lord, we're all realize that we're--we're not here to be seen or heard of men. We are here in the--the agony of Calvary. We are here with the Holy Spirit in our hearts weeping, as It did to our Lord over His rejecting in Jerusalem. And our spirits this morning weep out for a lost world. Give us wisdom to know how to approach them, Lord. We don't want them lost. The very Spirit within us would condemn us desiring their being lost. But may the Holy Spirit constantly cry, sweep out, until we put forth every effort with our talent, with our time, with our money, with everything that we've got; no matter how little it is, we offer it to You. Help us, Lord, to take this great message to a dying world. I have very little, Lord, that I can offer: no ability, no personality, no nothing. But I just got my soul, Lord, my voice. And it's all Yours. And I'm sure that speaks for this whole audience. Use it, Lord. If I had money, it was Yours. What time I have belongs to You; everything, my all in all... Help me, Lord, and help us all. We want to make an investment this morning in the Kingdom of God.” [Investments, Shreveport LA, 62-1124B]

“Paul said, "Though I speak with tongues of men and angels, and have not love, it profits me nothing. Though I can have faith to move mountains, and have not love, it profits me nothing." See, we're so prone to go after the gift instead of the Giver. When you see signs and wonders take place, don't notice the signs so much, but look what's behind it. It's that still small voice that speaks. That's the reason we can't have revivals in America, is because people go after gifts instead of the Giver. That's what's the matter with the world tonight. Oh, we got if you want great crowds and audiences, you have to have a real classical Hollywood outfit with a lot of show. American people want entertainment. They don't want the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. So therefore, the radio and the television will give them more entertainment than the church can do it, and they stay home. All that comes out is the elect of God that's still hungering, and thirsting, and calling, and crying for the real thing of God.” [What Hearest Thou Elijah, LA CA, 59-0412E]
“If you want power, see how humble you can get. Just get away from all your worldly thinking, and humble yourself before God, and then you've got more power than the man that runs all over the building and makes a big lot of noise; see, because you have been able to conquer yourself, and commit yourself to Christ, you see, to humble yourself before Him. That's really power. You show me a church that's humble, real humble, not a--a arrogancy; a church, just a sweet, humble church, I'll show you a church that has the favor and power of God in it. That's right. That's the thing it takes, humility, humbling ourselves before God, letting God just work through us. Don't have to make a lot of noise.” [Humble Thyself, Jeffersonville IN, 63-0714E]
“You think about the rapture. If the rapture come this morning, I say this in humility, there's no doubt that half of this congregation, if we went according to--to degrees, according to where we should be, half of you'd go before me. That's right. Look at the responsibility I got, and how--how loosely I carry it. I'm an unprofitable servant to Christ to know what I know about Him and then live the way I do: not immoral, not unclean, nothing like that, God knows that's true. See? I try to live right, but I--I--I just look like I can't get the thing to go over. Maybe it'd been somebody else, maybe highly educated or something, they could've got it to the people. But then some's to think, it's not all the people's going to get it anyhow. See, see? He knows what He's going to do. So I just commit myself to Him and say, "Lord, I'm in Your hands, do with me as You see fit." “[Proving His Word, Jeffersonville IN, 64-0816]
“He's worthy of the best. What do you do for Him? Give Him the leftover. Oh, yes, you run around all day, and give Him three minutes at night before you go to bed. He deserves your best, friend. He deserves everything you got. But what do you do about it? You give Him just anything. He takes it. He takes it, anyhow. He--He takes it. But she said, "I want the best." And it cost her everything she had to get the best. That's what you ought to do. Give your best, to give Him your best. Give Him the best of your life. Give Him the best of your songs. Give Him all your talent. Give Him everything you got. Give Him your feet. Give Him your hands. Give Him your eyes. Give Him your mouth. Give Him your ears. Give Him your soul. Give Him your heart. Give Him your praise. Give Him everything you got. Hallelujah. He's deserving of the best. She said, "I want the best you got." "Why," he said, "let's see how much money you got, first." So he pours the sock out, counts it out. Yep, two hundred and eighty pieces of Roman denarii, that's just exactly what it cost. Then he goes over and gets the box, sets it out to her.” [Unwelcomed Christ, Jeffersonville IN, 55-0911]
“Lord, help I, Your unprofitable servant; cleanse me from all uncleanliness, anything that would be in my life, that would not be just according to Your will for me, take it away, O God. And let Thy Divine Spirit move through us all, that when we leave here tonight, and start on our road to our different places, may we be able to say like those who came from Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us, as He spoke to us along the way?" For we asked it in Jesus' Name. Amen.” [Jesus Christ The Same, Terre Haute IN, 58-0214]
