October 2011 Newsletter - Subject of the Month

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” [Psalm 119:133]
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall,
he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” [Psalm 37:23-24]
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” [Romans 8:28]
“And we're taught that the footsteps of the--of the righteous is ordered of the Lord. And everything works together for good to them that love God. God just brings things around to happen that way. It's His great love to His people. Sometimes He has to take you through some dark places, but only to show you light. And our Father works those things. When the redeemed stand someday to crown Jesus, King of king and Lord of lords, when He's setting on Mount Zion and all around the earth is circled with--with the redeemed singing of redemption, the angels will stand off on a sideline with bowed heads. They won't understand. They've never been redeemed. They never fell to be redeemed. Only we mortals know what it means to be lost; an Angel doesn't know what it means to be lost. And we are the only ones that can get joy out of the song of redemption; and I think that's the way it'll be in the Church.” [What Does.It Take To.Make A Christian Life, Chicago Il, 57-0113]
“And many times you might think the same thing. My friend, you might have went off without Him, but remember, He's still watching you. He knows right where you are. There may be trouble in your home; there may be trouble in your soul; there may be trouble in your body; whatever it is, don't you worry, He's got His eyes on you; He's watching you. He climbed up on top of a mountain; He was looking out there and He seen every trick that devil was playing. Hallelujah. He not only climbed, but He climbed the ramparts of Calvary, not only to Calvary, but the ramparts of glory. And He sets tonight at the Majesty. He looks down on earth. There's not even a--a ripple can come on the water without He--it's by His permission. The sea can't move; a leaf can't move; a bird can't fly.” [Then Jesus Came, Jeffersonville IN, 57-0407E]
“But Jesus knew better. Jesus knew what the Father's will was. And, oh, what a blessed privilege it is that we can know the Father's will. If we will seek God, God will make known His will. I'd rather know that I was in the will of God if I never spoke to another person, then to preach to ten thousand people every night out of the will of God; I'd rather know the will of God. I believe that it was David that said, "I'd rather be a doormat at the (or something), at the house of My Lord, than to dwell in tents with wickedness." What a privilege to find our place and there abide. No matter how the devil shakes, what he says, or how he scoffs, stay right straight in the will of God.” [Then Jesus Came, Jeffersonville IN, 57-0407E]
“And we see when this trying time come to these three Hebrew children, they proved out faithful. They said, "We will not bow down to the image." Oh, my, then the great proclamation that had been signed, they went and gathered them together and pulled their hands behind them, and walked them up a great plank or runway to drop off into a furnace that had the skies literally red: seven times hotter than it ever been het. And while they were walking up this plank, knowing that in their heart, they did not see how that God would ever do it, but they knowed that God could do it. It was their privilege to walk to their death, as it was, to keep the Word of God.” [Then Jesus Came, Jeffersonville IN, 57-0407E]
“God let the Hebrew children walk right into the fiery furnace before He ever turned a hand. He's always there; don't be scared. He's always present. Amen. Then if the footsteps of a righteous man is ordered of the Lord, what we got to fear? God be for you, who can be against you? Oh, my, think of it.”  [Fellowship, Chicago IL, 55-0501A]
“Now, that is the house that God dwells in, not a building with a big bell on top of it and a high steeple (See?), but, "a body has Thou prepared Me," a body that God can dwell in, God can walk in, God can see in, God can talk in, God can work in (Amen.), living instrumentality of God. God walking on two feet in you. Glory. "The footsteps of the righteous is ordered of God," God walking in you, for ye are written epistles, read of all men. And if the Life that's in Christ be in you, you'll bear the Life that Christ bore.” [The Stature Of A Perfect Man, Jeffersonville IN, 62-1014M]
“But we have to watch. God leads His children, and the footsteps of the righteous is ordered of the Lord. They are led by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes you think you're making a mistake, but if the Spirit is leading you, go do it anyhow. The Holy Spirit tells some of you people in wheelchairs, "Get up and start walking," walk anyhow. "How am I going to it?" That's not your business. Just listen what the Spirit says. Tells you to come at the altar, repent; do it.  I don't care what he says. What the Holy Spirit says, go do it. "Sons of Gods are led by the Spirit of God." Now, many times I've went to cities. I thought I made a mistake, but I just kept on battling on. After while, it wasn't a mistake.” [Greater Than Solomon Is Here, Bloomington IL, 61-0412]
“Now, we know that the Bible said in Saint John 5:19, Jesus said, "I do nothing except the Father shows Me first what to do." And now, God had to show Him then what to do, or He'd never left Bethany. So He went out about a day's journey or two, and by and by, Lazarus got sick. And they sent for Jesus to come. But instead of coming, Jesus just ignored the call. Now, would it not make you feel strange if the pastor did that? It would make you feel like, "Well, he doesn't care about us." But oh, if you would just stop a minute to remember this, "That all things work together for good to them that love God." Nothing in the world can go wrong as long as you're in God. "The footsteps of the righteous is ordered of the Lord." And then they sent again for Jesus. And He seemingly ignored their call and just went right on. After four days passed, He said, "Our friend Lazarus sleepeth. And for your sake I'm glad I wasn't there." For if He'd have been there, they'd have been trying to get Him to do something that wasn't the will of God.[Then Jesus Came, Jeffersonville IN, 57-0407E]
“And we should not be just gadding about from place to place. We should always go and consider the Lord before we go. Do you do that when you leave home? Pray, "Lord, help me to have a safe journey over where I am going and back, ordering my steps today, that I'll not step out of Your blessed path. But if I should make the wrong move, You'll warn me and bring me back into the right way again. If my tongue should start to speak things that was not right, will You just stop my tongue from speaking? Bring me back into the right place again. And if I should start to thinking wrong thoughts, will You just change my way of thinking, let me think the right things." What you think is usually what you do. You know, if you'll do right, that's your duty to God. If you'll think right, that's your duty to yourself. And you've got to come out right. You can't be going east when you're going west. You can't be going wrong when you're going right, or vice versa. Think right; do right; and you'll be right.” [Hear Ye Him, Oakland CA, 57-0322]
