“For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;” [Luke 2:30-31]
“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” [Exodus 14:13]
“But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.” [Psalm 69:29]
“And God can only show His glory when His people stand still and looks for it. That's what's the matter today with our church. People does not stand still and look for the glory of God. In the Scripture is written, "Stand still, and see the glory, or the salvation of God." [Stand Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord, Chicago IL, 57-0629]
“So Simeon, when he got up there close to where this baby was, I can just see the old sage and the big glistering tears drop off of his bearded cheeks, and reach over, and grab that baby in his arms, looked up towards heaven, oh, what a feeling. "Lord, now let Thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy Word: for my eyes have seen thy Salvation. The very thing that everybody was criticizing and making fun of, that's Thy salvation. Let Thy servant now depart in peace, according to Your Word. I'm ready to go now, for mine eyes have seen Thy Salvation." “ [Expectation, Long.Beach CA, 61-0207]
“So many times that we get all to a place where we can't stand still and nervous. Just as we start to do something good, then we see trouble coming. But that is the devil trying to upset the program of God. We find it in our individual lives. We find it in our church world. We find it in our national affairs. You find it everywhere. And then we can know that when we are getting ready to do right, wrong is always present. But the way to overcome that, is to think in your heart which way God would have you to go and which is the best way, then stay with that way.” [Stand Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord, Chicago IL, 57-0629]
“So in that great day of--hour of a flusteration, the Lord spoke. And He spoke through a little prophet standing near, who said, "Stand still, and see the salvation of God. You'll not have to fight this battle." But as long as they were together and praying, it was God's battle. And I think the same thing applies tonight. In this great hour where the great church people, and the great churches are stewing and--and fussing with each other, and denominational barriers are breaking us apart, and we battle from this side and that side, it's time to stand still. It's God's battle. It's not ours to begin with. God wants us to stand still. And when God gets ready to do anything, usually He commands His people to stand still.” [Stand Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord, Chicago IL, 57-0629]
“When God gets ready to do anything, the people is all tore up. The reason they were tore up in their journey is because there was a mixed multitude that went up. And the testing time came. Oh, I want you to notice this, that every time that God makes a move there's usually a mixed multitude; it attracts the attention of all and creates a mixed multitude. When God makes a move you'll find all kinds of isms and everything moving with it. But the testing time came. God tests every son or daughter that comes to Him, no exceptions at all. God gives them the testing time to prove them.” Stand Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord, Chicago IL, 57-0629]
“But if you just rely on hope, you hinder faith. Now, hope looks for something, way off. But faith claims it right now. See? Faith says, "God said so and it's mine." That settles it. See? "I don't care if I'm still crippled, I'm still blind, if I'm still sick, that don't have nothing to do with it. I believe it anyhow. It's mine right now. God said so and that settles it." See? That's faith. But hope says, "God said so, and I'm expecting to get it, someday." You see? "I'm expecting, someday." And as long as Satan can put you off to another day, that's as good as he wants. That's right. You'll never get it. Just believe that you got it right now--it's your personal property. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Is that right? Faith acts now. It's positive. When faith speaks, everybody else keeps still. That's right.” [Faith Cometh By Hearing, Chicago IL, 54-0320]

Here's something to console us. Here's something that encourages. Out of weakness and humility God chooses the people to build His Kingdom out of. If we ever get to heaven, if we ever stand in the Presence of God with His Church, we'll stand in a bunch of people that's been weak and rejected and cast out by the world, and know-it-nothings. Isn't it strange that God likened us to sheep? A sheep is the most helpless thing there is. There's nothing so insufficient of defense than the sheep. A rabbit can run; a squirrel can get in a tree; a dog can bite; a lion can tear; a horse can kick; a bird can fly; but a sheep stands helpless. That's the way God wants us. Realize that we are totally insufficient, then God takes that person and begins to mold Himself into that person: make his hands do what God would have hands to do, make his lips speak what God's lips would speak; because they're not his; they're God's. He begins to build a character, begins to take this weakness and to make His Ownself.” [Perfect Strength By Perfect Weakness, Jeffersonville IN, 61-1119]
“How many ministers could God use this morning if they'd only let God bind them with His Word and with His power, and loose them from the strength of them denominations and organizations. How many sincere people in this city this morning, that goes to these great organization churches, how many could He fill with the Holy Ghost, and set this country afire with the Gospel and the power, if they'd only take and loose themselves from the power that they have and be bound by His Spirit to be as Paul was, a love slave to God. God took Paul and made a slave out of him, bound him to Himself and sent him to the Gentiles which he hated. But, you see, he had to be loosed from his ecclesiastical power, to be bound to the power of God. He had to lose his strength and become weak and nothing in order to receive the strength of God, to be bound to God, to do what God would tell him to do. That's what we have to do today. That's what I need. That's what every man needs, is a loss of himself, loss of his ability, loss of what he is, that he might have a complete yielding to the Holy Spirit. The housewife needs that. The schoolboy needs that.” [Perfect Strength By Perfect Weakness, Jeffersonville IN, 61-1119]
“I be His servant tonight and declare Him right. God will make every sin that you ever committed... The devil that's called your soul for his own. He will make the devil stand still tonight. Watch the power of God come down and take away your sin and iniquity and give you the baptism of the Holy Ghost. He will surely do it. He will make every cancer drop. He will make every blinded eye come open. He will make the cripples walk. He will let the devil who afflicted you stand still and see the glory of God. It's not your battle. Just stand still; it's God's battle. Don't be flusterated. Don't be upset; stand still. We're living in a tremendous time. We're living in a great time. The Church should stand still now to receive the promise. "Stand still and watch the glory of God." He's not the "I WAS." He's the "I AM." He's the same. We'll just stand still, as they did, the "I AM" the same "I AM" lives tonight. While we're thinking on these things let us bow our heads just a moment.”[Stand Still And See The Salvation Of The Lord, Chicago IL, 57-0629]
“I've often said, "The greatest enemy I got is William Branham." He's the one that gets in God's way. He's the one that gets lazy. He's the one that gets to a place sometimes where he thinks he can do something about it, and when he does, that shoves God right out of the picture. But when I can get rid of that guy, when I can get to a place that he's out of the way, then God can come over and do things that William Branham knows nothing about. That's when God can use you. That's when He can use any of you. He can use anybody when we get out of the way. But as long as we got ourselves in the way, then we cannot. All right.” [Perfect Strength By Perfect Weakness, Jeffersonville IN, 61-1119]
"Trusting in His Word, believing every thing He says, trusting Him as my all, as my breath, as my life, as all that I have... Tonight I fully surrender myself to Him both soul, body, and spirit. Looking for His second coming in glory. When I'm sad, I trust Him. When I am glad, I trust Him. When I'm sick, I trust Him. And when I'm lost, I trust Him. Whatever befalls me, I trust Him.” [The Mighty Conqueror, Chicago IL, 58-0110]
